About Department

Department of Computer Science is Functioning in the University since 1997 with main objective to providing the up-to-date knowledge of the core field of computer science to the students through effective teaching programs thereby enabling students to enhance their knowledge and get employed in leading corporate and IT sectors to serve the country to bridge the digital divide. Presently the department is offering three years full time Course of Master in Computer Applications, MCA Corporate and Ph.D. programmes in Computer Science. A number of academic and cultural activities are regularly conducted in the department which includes Seminars and presentations, Invited talks, discussions etc. to familiarize students with latest developments to improve their skills. In the year 2009, a Students Branch of Computer Society of India (CSI) was established in the department to provide a platform to our students for organizing various activities. The faculty members are engaged in various research and development related activities of the department and university apart from teaching and guiding students. Two UGC funded research project have been completed in the department and another two have been send to various govt. agencies for approval. At present the department has one state-of-the-art Computer Laboratory fully equipped with latest i7 Computer Systems well connected through LAN and wi-fi. The department has Laser Printers, DeskJet Colour Printers and Scanners, Multimedia LCD Projector, Overhead Projector (OHP) and other peripherals. The department has internet facility for its students and research scholars through National Knowledge Network (NKN).
