About RCA

Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) has been sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi to nourish the requirement of the aspirants for various competitive exams. The RCA is established with a motto of nurturing the aspirants of various competitive exams belonging to SC/ST’s/Minorities and women with residential facilities during their coaching period. The competitive exams include Union Public Service Commission, State Public Civil Services, RRB, SSC and other Banking exams. The candidates are selected based on National Level test. The RCA is having separate building with a state- of- the- art facilities and exclusive library and computer laboratory. The RCA is going to have an exclusive infrastructure in the BBAU campus with audio-visual class rooms, seminar hall, centralized computer facilities, library with good study materials etc., The coaching classes are conducted by the highly qualified professionals in the field of competitive exams. It is also having a separate hostel for boys of 100 candidate’s capacity. The hostel building for girls is yet to be sanctioned by UGC. Till then girls will be accommodated at the University Hostel. .

University Grants Commission sanctioned only 5 Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) in our country in the year 2009, one was given to BBAU, Lucknow. Prof. B. Hanumaiah, Vice-Chancellor, BBAU, brought this coaching academy to Lucknow by convincing the authorities at MHRD. BBAU is the first among all five Universities to complete construction of building for Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) and same was dedicated to the students and the civil services aspirants. Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) is one of the auspicious dream of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof B. Hanumaiah. His vision fill the lacuna of proper coaching centers to train the candidates belonging to the socially and economically weaker section of the country to prestigious professional posts like Indian Civil Services, and other exams. This RCA will fulfill the needs of the Coaching centers with National level standard infrastructure and teaching and non-teaching staff. On 14th April 2012, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajyasabha), Prof. Balchandra Mungekar dedicated the boys’ hostel building to Residential Coaching Academy (RCA). Hon’ble Chairman for Scheduled Caste Commission Shri. P.L. Punia inaugurated the RCA academic building on 29th May 2012. Prof. B. Hanumaiah, Vice-Chancellor, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University inducted a mini-auditorium to the wings of Academy on 11th June 2012.
