Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (A Central University) established the office of Proctor under the provision of its act 1994, which came into force from 10.01.1996. The proctor is a statutory officer of the University and head of the Proctorial board. The major objectives of Proctorial board are enforcing discipline and controlling law and orders of student community. The Proctor office comprises Proctorial board, anti ragging committee, anti ragging squad and anti ragging cell as the major committee to control the different sphere of discipline. The office of proctor constituted three tier organizations i.e. proctorial board with Dy. Proctor, Asst. proctors & members, while at second tier security officer and at third tier the outsourced ex-army men as security staff with supervisor guards and chowkidars. The University has two campus i.e. main campus at Lucknow and satellite campus at Amethi. The office of proctor has to ensure discipline for maintaining law and order and total security to both campus of University.
